Ask a question about pearls

Send the editors a question about pearls. The questions readers ask most often become new pages, answered with sources, and some are added to the questions at the end of an existing page.

Many questions already have an answer here: search the site or browse all topics. To point out a mistake on a page, use "Suggest a correction" at the end of that page.

What happens to your question

  • We read every question, but we can't answer each one.
  • We publish a question only if you agree, reworded and with an answer. Your email address is never published.
  • A first name or initials and a region appear with a published question only if you give them.
  • We can't identify or value a particular pearl from a description. A gemological laboratory can examine it.

Send a question

We keep what you send so the editors can answer it, and use your email address only to reply to you.
